Day 130: Relative Aging Recap March 26, 2007

Posted by Admin in Geology, Homework.

Welcome Back from Spring Break! In getting back into the topic we left off with before break, we reviewed the meaning and importance of Relative Aging today in class. Following the brief recap, we began work on the Reverse Cross Section. In this activity, students are given a list of geologic events (creation/deposition of certain rock types, earthquakes creating faults and folds, weathering and erosion, etc…) and the student then must put the events in order and create a diagram of the final product.

The rough draft was worked on in class today (due tomorrow) and tomorrow we’ll work on the final draft.
