Day 22: Scientific Notation September 18, 2006

Today we examined ways of shrinking lots of numbers big and small through Scientific Notation. Scientists prefer to put very large or very small numbers into scientific notation as a means of making the written form smaller and easier to work with.
I have attached the Scientific Notation worksheet that contains the rules for converting into and out of scientific notation as well as practice problems. Don’t forget to bring it back to class with you – it is due tomorrow, (Tuesday, 09/19/06)
