Week 2: Midweek Update August 23, 2006

Posted by Admin in General Announcements.

We’re still on track with this week’s schedule as outlined in the post below. Today we concluded defining terms related to the scientific method. We also completed an in-class activity centered on writing objective scientific observations. Don’t forget today’s homework, the “Problems and Hypotheses” worksheet, is due Thursday (tomorrow!) at the beginning of class.

Thursday we will be starting a two-day segment on recording observations that will include a demonstration and a lab activity. Next week we’ll be reviewing metric measurement and conversions between units.

Looking ahead: We will likely conclude the experimental design unit in about four weeks, meaning our first test would likely occur sometime during the week of September 11th.
